    Volunteer will get into assistance, preparation, process and follow-up of MIKK’s multi-media projects, graphic design, social media etc. Volunteer will become active participant in variety of interesting events and a broad spectrum of activities for youngsters that MIKK organizes: workshops, multimedia cultural events, concerts, exhibitions, theatre plays, festivals, lecture courses and workshops (in the field of multimedia, basics of digitalization,film/video capturing (shooting) and video editing, photography, 3D animation etc). Documentation of all events, he/she will actively participate is desirable and appreciate and will be part of volunteer personal project.

    Youth exchange "Urban creatures - redefining public space" was approved! It will takie place in Georgia, Sptember 22-29. Initially we've chosen Zugdidi as a venue, however it might be changed. We will let you know about it as soon as we arrange it with our Georgian partner. We will organize the Advanced Planned Visit soon (24-25 August) when 8 leaders from partner organisation (2 leader per country) will arrive to GE to meet the local partner, to prepare the project and check the venue. YouthClub for Intercultural Dialogue, Democracy and Peace, Armenia Here is the maximum travel budget per person (both international and local transportation): Armenia - 150 EUR The above mentioned ticket limits are also applicable to the participants and leaders that will come for the YE in September, however in these cases we will reimburse 70% of their travel costs. The project was financed by Youth in Action Programme of European Union, and co-financed by the Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia. YCIDDP covered accommodation and meal expenses of participants and also reimbursed 70 % of travel costs.

Hence the training contributed to the involvement of young people in local and regional activities and helps them to implement initiatives dealing with a variety of youth issues. The expected outcome of the training were trained youth workers, young leaders and young people willing and able to set up new creative local youth initiatives on issues of local concerns in their surrounding communities.

    “Scholarship Program of the Polish Government for Young Academicians” initialized in 2003 is addressed to Candidates from Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan an Georgia. The 14th edition of the Program will take place during the academic year of 2016/2017. Preference will be given to candidates who can prove their academic achievements or organizational activity and whose accomplishments would allow them to put advanced study in this specialization to good use in their own countries in various fields of academic or public life. Scholarship is granted for realization of a scientific practice, in the form of a 1-year long individual complementary studies. Each of the qualified candidates may receive scholarship once for a given period and, from exceptional circumstances, without the possibility of prolonging it for the next year. Total duration of the internship and the preparatory course of Polish language is 10 months. There is a possibility of prolonging stay within the frames of the scholarship till July 2017, if the Program coordinator in agreement with the tutor will apply for prolongation. It may take place only in case of fulfilling by the scholarship holder all the scientific conditions of the Program, including defense of the diploma thesis at minimum 4 grade and participation in the scientific programs taking place in July 2014. Possible supplementary scholarship will end 31st July 2016. Candidates with sufficient knowledge of Polish language will start realization of the Program on 1stSeptember 2016 with the Preparatory course of Polish language. The course will be conducted at the University of Warsaw, and will consist of general lectures and supplementary course of Polish language. Candidates with insufficient knowledge of Polish language will start realization of the Program on 1stAugust 2016 with the additional, intensive course of Polish language. In such a situation scholarship may last 12 months. Realization of the scholarship (studies) at the particular Polish universities will last from 1st October 2016 till 30th June 2017. The scholarship is 1350 PLN per month. The costs of accommodation and feeding should be individually covered by the scholarship holders. Place of application – counterpart Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Poland. The application deadline is 1st March 2016. The complete set of documents should be submitted by post or delivered personally (with an envelope annotation “Scholarship Program for Young Academicians”) to the counterpart Polish diplomatic outposts. Complete set of documents scanned, preferably in JPG format, shall be send also by e-mail: stypendia.studium@uw.edu.pl Counterpart Consulates of the Republic of Poland will be admitting visas till 31st July 2017 to all qualified candidates. GERNERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. University diploma (4- or 5-year studies ending with a defense of a bachelor diploma or master thesis), preferably in the humanities: history, international relations, political sciences, journalism, sociology, ethnology, cultural sciences, social psychology, administration, management and law. 2. Age limit: 35. 3. General knowledge in the general issues concerning one of the above mentioned fields or similar fields, particularly in the 19 and 20 centuries. 4. Knowledge of the Polish language at a level guaranteeing that the student is able to understand the lectures and do the required reading – is essential (see I - 6,7). 5. In an extraordinary cases there is a possibility to qualify candidates without the knowledge of the Polish language. Such scholarship holders will be, however, obligated to learn Polish language individually and after getting notification of being qualified to the Program they will have to take part in additional intensive course of Polish language in August 2013(see I – 5). REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 1. Copy of University diploma equivalent to Polish Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or an official document confirming participation in doctoral studies or working. 2. Precisely completed application form (available at: www.studium.uw.edu.pl).. 3. Concise letter of motivation indicating major of studies chosen by the candidate, possibly. 4. Project of research work. 5. Curriculum vitae written in Polish or English language, in the reverse chronological order, in which the most recent events are listed first, including 1 photograph in a paper or electronic version (converted into JPG). 6. List of all academic publications, most significant academic written work, professional or academic projects. 7. Certificates confirming candidate’s knowledge of Polish and English language. 8. Other information, documents that the candidate believes might assist the commission in evaluating his or her application. QUALIFICATION PROCESS 1. The final deadline for application is 1st March 2016. 2. The qualification of the candidates is held in two stages: a) 1st stage of qualification is prosecuted by an Admissions Committee in Warsaw on the basis of documents sent by the candidates – candidates accepted for next stage of qualification will be noted by 10 April 2016. b) 2nd stage - qualifying interviews conducted by the Committee’s delegates to the candidates home countries will took place from 1st May till 15ty June 2016 (detailed information about the dates of interviews will be announced after the end of the 1st stage of qualification) 3. The candidates questionings are held in: a) for citizens of the Russian Federation – Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Moscow, b) for citizens of Ukraine – Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kiev, c) for citizens of the Republic Belarus - Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Minsk, d) for citizens of Caucasus countries - Embassies of the Republic of Poland in Tbilisi, Yerevan or Baku, d) for candidates from Central Asia – in 1 or 2 Polish diplomatic outposts in the region. 4. The candidates will be notified by the Polish diplomatic outposts and the Centre for East European Studies, University of Warsaw about the dates and places of interviews. 5. The candidates will be notified by the Polish diplomatic outposts and the Centre for East European Studies, University of Warsaw about the results of the qualification process by the 10th July 2016at the latest. 6. The candidates and the Polish diplomatic outposts will be notified by the Centre for East European Studies, University of Warsaw about the assignments to particular Polish universities by the 1st August 2016 at the latest.

    Dates: Bulgaria - 17.08.2015-24.08.2015, Georgia - December, 2015 Venue: Razlog, Bulgaria, Tbilisi, Georgia Project Description: “United Youth Combating Hate” was a long-term training program for youth workers and leaders of the EU and the Eastern Partnership - Bulgaria, Romania, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Moldova, Estonia, Georgia and Turkey. The project was aimed at developing skills in the fight against hate speech by training in human rights. The project tackled the more and more alarming situation among young people, namely the growing hatred and xenophobia caused by religious and ethnic conflict on international level. The project consisted of two mobilities: 1) Training course in Bulgaria from 17 to 24 August 2015 2) Local activities in each partner`s community between August and December 2015 3) Final evaluation seminar in Georgia (with possible time of implementation middle December) “United Youth Combating Hate” was long-term opportunity to increase the capacity of volunteers, coordinators and professional youth workers and youth leaders aged over 18 years. Participants were motivated to become activists fighting against hate speech by becoming familiar with basic educational tools for human rights and the movement against hate speech. They attended both mobilities in Bulgaria and Georgia, and organized local initiatives as active European citizens. Youth Combating Hate had the following objectives: - To Increase the competencies of youth leaders and youth workers in the field of anti-hate speech and human rights - To stimulate cooperation in the youth field and promote the organization of more initiatives and projects in the field of human rights and no- hate speech. - To Stimulate organizing more local initiatives in partner countries and thus inform more young people about the ,, No hate speech "movement on a European scale. - To Increase the international dimension of the work with young people, particularly in relation to training on human rights and anti-hate. - To ensure the long-term and sustainable improvement of the quality of the work of partner organizations in this field.     The Program is addressed to young leaders with higher education who are interested in the development of democracy, economy and civil society in their countries and in the region. The Program is realized in the form of a two-semester project course with Polish universities and at leat 2-week professional internships with public or private institutions. FIELDS   Economics and management  Administration / management (business, NGO, culture, environmental protection, health care, education)  Public administration (government and local government)  Law  Social science (social psychology, sociology)  Political science and international relations  Journalism  Development policy Diploma thesis shall be of theoretical or practical character (in the latter case theoretical introduction will still be required). CANDIDATES In the 2016/2017 academic year the Kirkland Program is addressed to the following persons:   experts, politicians, employees at government and local government institutions  entrepreneurs and managers  leaders of non-governmental organizations, cultural organizers and promoters of active citizenship  academic teachers  journalists. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA   Citizenship and permanent residence in one of the targeted countries (holders of permanent residence card in Poland are ineligible)  Master's degree  Up to 35 years of age (in special cases up to 40)  Professional experience of at least 2 years  Polish language proficiency adequate to effectively attend lectures and seminars as well as to prepare a diploma project or, alternatively, English in case of those candidates who select a specific study program with English as the language of instruction (in such cases, only basic Polish is required). During the interview candidates are required to speak Polish at least at the B1 level (diploma thesis written in Polish) or at least A1 (diploma thesis written in English) PREFERENCES   Candidates actively working in their professional and social fields  Candidates who have significant achievements  Candidates who have not studied in Poland before REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 1. Application form on-line a) detailed personal questionnaire b) proposed program of study in Poland explaining the purpose of participation in the Kirkland Program and including the future plans connected with its completion (not exceeding 4,000-6,000 characters with spaces) 2. Two letters of reference (in Polish, English or Russian), describing the achievements and qualifications of the candidate as well as the expectations connected with the candidate’s further development and work in her/his professional or social field – to be submitted by e-mail 3. Copy of Master’s degree diploma (or PhD diploma) – to be submitted by e-mail. SELECTION PROCESS Approximately 45 best applicants will be selected in a 3-stage evaluation process of candidates: Stage 1 - formal assessment of applications Stage 2 - substantive assessment of applications Stage 3 - interviews (planned on 13-30 April 2016) The candidates who have qualified by passing all 3 stages are informed via e-mail at the end of March. The information of the final results will be sent via e-mail in June 2016. FINANCIAL INFORMATION Monthly stipend paid to Kirkland grantees in Polish currency: about 1800 PLN.     Dates: 13-19.12.2013 Venue: Oslo, Norway Description: This training course was dedicated to the promotion of non-violent actions and the development of peace initiatives. The project gathered young people from several Western and Eastern European countries such as Norway, Georgia, Greece, Armenia, Romania and Azerbaijan. The TC covered different types of conflicts and in different settings and consequently ways of transforming conflicts by non-violent actions. The emphasize was placed on foster a constructive debate on recent conflicts in Europe and cooperation in the youth field. This was done by promoting non-violent approaches leading to actions on peace-building. Moreover, young leaders discussed the significant role of youth participation in grass-root peace-building initiatives. The trainers and invited experts shared practical and theoretical knowledge on the topics, through plenary sessions, discussions, workshops, creativity sessions, intercultural & interactive exercises and other non-formal educational methods. Essential throughout the TC was the input and experience sharing from participants. The organizers covered Accommodation and Meal and also reimbursed 70 % of travel costs of participants. Participants from Armenia were selected by their filled applications.

    Venue: Bakuriani, Georgia Dates: 26.01.2014 - 02.02 2014 Short Description: The INCLUSIVE MOBILITY TOWARDS YOUTH EMPLOYABLITY (IMTYE) seminar was devoted to European mobility schemes as a tool for developing young people’s skills and competences in order to be competitive on the labour market, avoid marginalisation and social exclusion, focusing on migrants in Europe. The seminar focused on such issues as youth mobility and participation and promotion of YiA, Erasmus, Leonardo da Vinci and other youth mobility programmes as a tool for social inclusion of young people and young migrants. The seminar also looked at EU initiatives such as Youth on the Move and the Youth Opportunities Initiative and their use in fighting youth unemployment. Seminar brought together 30 youth leaders, project managers working with mobility and migration issues from six countries to Kobuleti, Georgia. After the seminar there was launched online platform that would offer information to young people about mobility opportunities in EU and EECA, migration issues and database of organization working on such themes. Financial Aspects: The Organizers covered Accommodation and Meal Expenses and reimbursed 70 % of the Travel cost. Participants from Armenia were selected via their CV.

    12 of August is International Youth Day and it is being celebrated in many countries. The United Nations Office in Yerevan, ACBA Credit Acricole Bank and the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of the Republic of Armenia organized the Celebration of International Youth Day in Armenia. During the Celebration there took place Organization Expo where were participating 20 organizations. Through the participants was also "Youth Club for Intercultural Dialogue, Democracy and Peace" NGO. We consider that such kind of activities are very important for youngsters and would like to express our gratitude to the organizers.
